I had the utmost privilege of meeting Rodney in his dressing room before his show at the O'Keefe Centre,Toronto in Sept 1984. He was/is a true gentleman who gave a fan/follower a few minutes of his time, a memory I will always treasure. Rodney's material ALWAYS brightened a dull day and turned sadness into laughter for not only me, but for millions. He isnt one of the best...he is and always will be THE best. A mournful time indeed......

I never knew Rodney had a web site ..Sorry..But I want to share this story ..when I was 14 I ran away from home with a buddy of mine to New York City cause I was just being stupid at the time. But I still remember that time because the 1st place I wanted to see was Dangerfield's. My buddy thought I was crazy cause we couldn't get in but I just wanted to get a glimse of the Funniest guy in the World! I never did see him but I was priviledged to see his place. He did so much to promote all the talent that we now enjoy, I wish he could have lived forever.I will always remember & Laugh every time I think or hear his name. Rodney Thanks for all the Good Times ..U got my Respect!...Rick

Have been a fan of Rodney's for years. Heartbroken that he is no longer with us in body, but his spirit and self-deprecating humor will be with us forever. Every time I see a red tie, I'll think of him.

I've been in Iraq for almost 2 years now and I can speak for a great many of us here when I say how shocked we all were to hear of Rodney's passing in the Stars & Stripes newspaper. My sympathy to Rodney's family. He will be sorely missed. Another great one has gone.
