My condolences to Joan and Rodney's family; hard to believe he's gone. Just finished reading his book, and it's like he's still alive, still searching for a little respect. You'll live on in our lives through your book, movies, and CD's. And yes, you've earned respect from me.

Rodney was a great man. He was my idol. I wish I could of met him but I will never get the chance. He was the best Comedian EVER. There will never be another as great as him.

Joan, Belated condolences from my family. As my children grow older I can share some of Rodney's movies with them, "Caddyshack" most recently. Thanks for the laughter! Paul

I sat here for a while trying to think of what to write. I have put all of my thoughts into two words. Thank you. Rest in peace Rodney.

You gave us the funniest moments in movie history and the greatest one liners ever! One of my favourite moments was in My 5 Wives when you said "The last time I had sex I was arrested for assault with a dead weapon"! Classic! Thank you Rodney for everything, I will miss you so much! RIP Rodney.

I wanted to say that Rodney was the greatest comedian that ever lived. I'm 35 and have been following him since I first saw him on the beer commercials and on Caddyshack. I probably know 90% of his jokes by heart and I just think he was the greatest! My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family and friends...Rodney, you will be missed and you got a lot more respect than you thought...
