Growing up in the '70s and '80s I feel like Rodney was a part of me. I loved his movies, especially "easy money" I love you Rodney, you will live in my heart forever! God bless you.

I am very sad about the passing of Rodney. I will miss his humor very much. I can honestly say the only time I have ever hurt myself laughing was during a monologue on the Tonite Show. I was in tears the entire night. I will purchase his dvd collection without a doubt. Thanks Rodney, with all due respect. Tony Smith.

Rodney, I sure miss you. You were the best. My local news guy screwed up your line. I got so mad that jerk gave you no respect, I filed a complaint with the news studio. I remember seeing you on the Ed Sullivan Show and I've been a fan of yours ever since. You discovered some of my favorite comics too. I'll always be grateful to you for making me laugh. I will be a fan of yours for the rest of my life. I just wish I could have met you in person. Who knows, maybe we will meet someday in the hereafter, I'll look for the guy that doesn't get no respect there either. I'll love you forever Rodney.

What a truly great comedian! Rodney could also often laugh at himself!A sure sign of a healthy lust for living, and making others happy with his comic flair! I will miss your comedic genius! Your friend Marie

Rodney brought more laughter into my life than anyone else, and I'm old enough to remember Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Dick Gregory, Bill Cosby, Bob Newhart, Fred Allen and George Burns among others.
Rodney, you will be missed by many, but remembered by many more--especially those future generations who will have no knowledge of the live Rodney, but will know you from your everlasting record.
R.I.P.

My Dad took me to see Caddyshack when I was 13 or so. My life has never been the same since. Every time I am on the golf course (which is all the time) and I meet someone new that I am playing with I can always break the ice with some of Rodney's lines from Caddyshack. They broke the mold when they made you Rodney. Irreplaceable, unforgettable, and the funniest man I have ever seen. Thanks for the memories!
